Persecuted Believers

Persecuted Believers. Believers are being persecuted all over the world for their faith. You would think persecuted Believers would ask for prayer to end their persecution, but they do not. Instead, they ask that we would pray that they would be able to persevere through the suffering. Phil 1:29 says: For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him. Heavenly Father, we pray that you would strengthen our brothers and sisters in Christ who are serving you around the world and are being persecuted and murdered for your sake. For the rest of us who live so well and in relative safety, Lord, help us to persevere in our faith, to remember those less fortunate, and to pray regularly for missionaries far from home, that they would persevere and glorify you, even in their trials. In Jesus name, amen.
