Prayer for Discernment
A prayer for discernment. We live in challenging times. It’s not easy to discern between subtle lies and misrepresentations and the pure truth. Jesus said, “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” Father help me to be wise like a serpent and yet as full of grace and mercy as Jesus was when he walked this earth. I pray for discernment in these dangerous times. I don’t want to be misled or go astray because I can’t discern the difference between deception and lies and what is true and right. Guide my thoughts, grant me wisdom, and give me discernment so desperately needed in these times. In Jesus name, Amen.
